One of the cats threw up a puddle of blood. Because we weren't sure which cat it was, we ended taking the two possible suspects to the vet. {We were only there a couple of days ago for injections and check ups] Turns out Willow has a high temperature due to a throat infection so it was most likely her that threw up the blood. Poor cat is definitely not herself. I don't think I've ever seen her so docile. lol. She was given an injection to reduce her temp and anti biotic paste for the infection so hopefully she'll be on the mend soon. .

ah that's great news!

Phew cat... so pleased to hear that. She must have broken a small vein in her throat when she vomited... hope she stays on the mend now

Hugs for you and Willow โฅโฅ
Throat infections must be doing the rounds. One of my kitties went of his food and developed a raspy meow. The vet said he has a throat infection but said he didn't need anti-biotics and he would get better on his own. He did but it took a week ๐ Then my little deaf kitty went off his food and didn't seem himself. As I'd just been to the vet with one I figured deaf kitty had the same problem. A few days later he seems to be better too.
The vet is blaming stress from the recent heatwaves.

Last night Willow curled up on my lap and slept for quite a while. She is not usually a lap cat. This morning, she seems much better - galloping around the house, playing, walking along the computer monitor then turning around and going back the other way [like a tight rope walker. lol] - still not quite right but much better.
Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts. I love my cats so much.
Wonderful news. I can just imagine how you were feeling.
Personally I never feel so useless or helpless in my life when one of my lil darlings is sick.
My oldest one (19) has hypothyroidism and is on constant medication twice a day, it often makes him sick. I swear the little cutie lives on love...

19 is a good age for a cat. My then 18 year old died just over a year ago. She went downhill very quickly. It was almost as if one day, she was her usual nutty self and th enext she was a feeble old cat.

I am so so sorry for your loss.......wow.......heart breaking.
Yes he is old but has the face of a kitten, just so gorgeous, the younger one is 18 1/2 ! She is too stubborn to get old lmao.
I love how you love your cats........it is really heart warming.

Thank you. It was sad, but I knew that it was a matter of time. For a while, I used to call my home ,"The Retirement Home for Geriatric Animals." Within a few months, I lost a cat and a dog. I now have an 11 year old dog, 9 year old cat, as well as the sisters who are two years old. Lily will be my last dog because I am unable to care for a dog properly. due to a faulty body and brain. She has a beautiful temperament and I will miss her when she does go.
