It was awesome....
He is an amazing man with a great heart.... great ideas.... great sense of humour....
I liked him before but am now very impressed.
It was a privilege to be there and a night I will remember for a long time.

And if you think about it there is at least that many. How many phone lines in a gov building alone. Internet connections computer stations. Networks? . Now times that buy the thousands and thats not even the home networks.
Where? The count is premises not people or companies.
The networking within gov depts is nothing to do with NBN Co, they're a wholesale provider only.
Who is the person that was on TV last night talking these numbers and what channel? I want to watch it. Thanks

I seriously wonder if he's ever tried to get online outside a city? obviously not.
Cue, the cities have issues too. There are not enough ports to go around, the copper is bad in some areas and some areas have too many people for the type of delivery method used which causes horrendous congestion issues.
Although the coalition have come up with what they call their NBN version it doesn't address many of the problems and the bad copper will be replaced with new copper instead of the fibre network Mike Quigley and Co designed.
thanks freaki...it's hard to know how far afield the rot is until we get together on social media sites like this and compares notes.

Send me a message if you want info on when your area is due and what you'll be getting. I don't have all the info but know where to find a lot. One of the issues they are facing in the regional areas is people fighting the tower applications....

Yes, I'm aware of that, but what I'm trying to do is get Albanese to stop Telstra price gouging in areas that have no competition and he's keen on the idea....crikey we need a break mate. it might be glutted in cities, but they literally bend us over and do nasty things to our budgets on cost outside of cities. We pay thru the nose.... I call it BOHICA....= Bend Over, Here It Comes Again.
In the interim, I spoke to an IP phone mob who said that if adsl goes past the door, I can use another provider to possibly get naked dsl...my preference if possible but no other carriers but Telstra....of course....= NO MORE EXPENSIVE HOME PHONE...but alas, only for some of us.
No other carriers own ports within 100kms of here......we're literally ignored out of the 21st century in most parts of regional oz, and there's no certaintly the NBN will get up if Blabbott gets the reins...god help us..back to the dark ages.

i would not sit down to eat with either Abbot or Rudd. They are basically the same person imo. i am horrified to have either of them running this country. I feel very sad as an Australian at the moment and quite ashamed.

How did Mr Abbott look in his co-ordinating tuxedo/cummerbund and budgie smugglers at this dinner?
