What wouldyou call that type of cross breed? The starfish x ostrich? Fisho? starball? eyestar or maybe fisheye?
The connotations are fascinating.
What about the brain or brainless genetic? would this creature have a brain? would it grow a brain or would the starfish gnome be the stronger gene and we would end up with a brainless head in the sand fisheye that was only capable of giving you the stink eye..

Starfish already have eyes....or an eyespot at at the end of each leg.
It has nervous system that acts like a brain in each leg. (sound familiar?)
It doesn't have a heart or blood.
It grows a new leg if ripped off, but the leg can grow into a new starfish too.
The female Praying Mantis doesn't always eat the males head...usually only if it's hungry.
That's why men commonly take woman out to dinner.....first.
