I bought my house back in the year 2000 and I'm on the never ending renovation cycle, there's always something to do with an older house.
Well I've just had it painted, it must be over 30 years since it was last done. I think it is the best thing that I've had done to the joint since I moved in well maybe just behind getting an inside toilet (that was an exciting day).

Nope roof and gutters are plain zincalume, it's always just had a plain galvanised roof. I'm not a big fan of coloured iron roofs, unless they are red ๐

Very nice Cosmo. It looks so good with stonework around the windows and door highlighted, it makes a huge difference doesn't it. You must be really pleased with it

Thanks Debra, the fact I'm sharing so freely on here shows how pleased I am with it :^O It something I've been wanting to do since I first bought the place 13 years ago, so along time coming.
I'm very happy with the colour and finish, the painters did a great job.

That looks awesome - please throw away the bones they will so not fit the stylish look you have achieved ๐

Oh wow it looks amazing, you've done a great job. I was invited to have a look at a lovely old federation home which was badly fire damaged and restored today, I was in a rush so it's on the to do list.

Aww I'll try to get a nice screen door before next summer, but I don't think I could throw the bones away, I reckon I could sell them on ebay ๐
It's definitely not a restoration, It's quite 'untraditional' inside and only the front two rooms are from the original turn of the century build. It was built on in the 1950's and then again recently, it was a rental for many, many years and had been used and abused during that time. The only original door left in the place was that front one, my guess is the others were burnt in the fireplaces over the years.
