BTW...do you have any idea what it takes for a rural producer to change crop or stock?...lots = THEY NEED HELP AND SO DOES RURAL OZ....trust me on that mate.

Why is each side of Main stream Govt, helping Rich OS interests to help themselves to our wealth?...WE NEED TO OBJECT before it's too late for our kids.

A few years back the farmers were encouraged to expand, buy the neighbours out.

A side effect of that is that people can't afford to buy the farms when they are on the market, paving the way for foreign ownership.

The government should buy back some of the farms then lease them so that Aussies can produce the food and the money doesn't go offshore.

Crikey...my grandmother was a half Aboriginal woman stolen from her family for her own good, to be a servant for the rest of her life and die, never seeing her family again.....do you seriously want to debate me on ownership?.....Australian Spirit?....(like you'd know it that spiritually?)....anything else? j

BTW...why always so defensive?.....can't you just join a discussion and take in other peoples opinions?.  Once upon a time my generation called that communication...just saying....get off the back foot honey....I'm not on the attack.  Just trying to enlighten you on things you don't seriously know much about.  Do you live in a city for instance? Or urban sprawl kinda thing?  If so, then what would you know about rural oz?

I'm not defensive I just have a different opinion and outlook to what you do. And my comments had nothing to do with ownership before the legal fiction that is and was terra nullis. My comments had only to do with those who have and do use the land for farming purposes. (Hence the reference to 200 odd years)

I live in the city, but my family are from "rural oz" ever since the First Fleet (sorry about that BTW) but as I said, even they have adapted to and continue to adapt to a changing environment.

You still haven't answered my initial question.

I ask you again, we've had this land for 200 odd years now, why hasn't anyone done anything with it so far if there are sooooo many people wanting to?

and now another for you. If what you're doing isn't working for you, why are you still doing it?

leave ya too it, obviously your perspective is right and no other perspective can be put forth and discussed.

Treaty - This land was never given up...this land was never bought and sold..(not by it's original owners even now)......and here we are again?  History repeating itself.  Never ends.  What is Aussie spirit these days then?  Worldwide prostitution of this place, but never for us?  the Political PIMPS get everything?  Sheesh

Cue played the aboriginal card, to my knowledge, aboriginals used the land in a very different manner to how it has been used since the arrival of the First Fleet ie. the farming industry

that is being discussed in this thread.

I'm pretty sure that you don't really mean you want me to explain terra nullius to you and how in the instance of the British declaring the land unoccupied that it was a complete work of legal fiction, do you?

My last comment was to Crikey....still stands....how much history do you acknowledge as legitimate in this country of 'ours'?  200 years or 40,000?...if not the latter, then you negate anything prior as illegitimate as far as objective anthropology  goes
