If POLITICAL threads were banned from CS what would you all talk about?
Cats, dogs, knitting, cooking, the latest boring reality show? WHAT
Would these boards revert to fluffy threads? Mind you the fluffy touchy feely threads can get rather agro as well.
So if the political threads get banned what would the mob then go after and say.. WE DONT LIKE threads about cats or dogs or cooking etc and we want to ban these threads as well..
Where would their banning stop
So what would these forums be like with no political threads...... all touchy feely and fluffy?

I think there are some threads on fun and games that really belong here. Like the chuckle store. I love that thread.

either that or bring fun & games back here and widen the pool of contributors.
Were the fun and games chased off or was it just a random rule thought up by the mod management at some stage?
It puzzled me at the time why they went and it still does. I never go looking for the special funa nd game thread although I did participate sometimes before they disappeared. I wouldn't mind them coming back here at all.

General comment, replied to last poster
Fun & Games are something to play along in, not topics for discussion.

if all the ppl that like to pontificate political went off to another board the pool of contributors here would become very small.
Not true, there are far more non-political posters here than those who start and contribute in the political threads.
The very small pool of political posters start more threads (political) though.

The fun and games threads used to moved too quick for here and block proper 'discussion' threads

agreed, i use to enjoy paticipating on game threads when they were on cs, you didn't have to click another board or open another tab.
other ebay sites, example uk and us have separate games boards, i reckon au simply followed suit

A political sub board wouldn't have much of an 'audience' either.
As iza mentioned, the fun and game threads were fast moving, lots of them ended up at the top of page 1, so you had to scroll down past them all the time to find the general discussion threads.
When there was only 1 or 2 of them it wasn't a problem but more and more got started.

is banished a better word for it? 😄
