I don't recall anyone ever suggesting the CEO of Australia Post deserved to be paid $4.5million. The argument was that whatever he was paid, any private donation he chose to make out of his salary was nobody's business but his own - maybe you don't understand the difference.

I replied: I don't recall anyone ever suggesting the CEO of Australia Post deserved to be paid $4.5million. the inference to be drawn from that was thatI believe nobody here has ever  defended his $4.5 million salary. (If you can find a post on any thread that actually does so, you are quite free to quote it)

I then went on to point ou tthat  the the only argument over his salary had been about how he spent it, and I suggested that you didn't seem to understand the difference between defending his salary and defending his right to spend it in any way he saw fit.

Most surgeons earn a couple of Million a year, sportstars a bit more. I'm surprised prime ministers/president don't make more than a million a year for the amount of responsibility they take on.

I don't think you can compare anyones salary $ for $ with others of the same title/position in different countries.. more to it than that.. cost of living etc.
