If this is true its a bloody disgrace and an insult to the Australian people.
How does Toni think he is entitled to be paid so much more than any other primeminister in the world.
Talk about feeling entitled and its not like he is even doing an average job.

I don't recall anyone ever suggesting the CEO of Australia Post deserved to be paid $4.5million. The argument was that whatever he was paid, any private donation he chose to make out of his salary was nobody's business but his own - maybe you don't understand the difference.
Who mentioned private donations, twas not I but I think you. Perhaps you are unable to comprehend the difference between being the Head of Government and running (into the ground ) a business owned by that government.

But Tony Abbott isn't a world leader, he is the prime minister of Australia - a minnow in the world pond..

You said: "try complaining about the $4.5 million to the guy who runs the P.O.into the ground". The logical inference to be drawn from that is that you believe posters here do or would defend his $4.5 million salary.
I replied: I don't recall anyone ever suggesting the CEO of Australia Post deserved to be paid $4.5million. the inference to be drawn from that was thatI believe nobody here has ever defended his $4.5 million salary. (If you can find a post on any thread that actually does so, you are quite free to quote it)
I then went on to point ou tthat the the only argument over his salary had been about how he spent it, and I suggested that you didn't seem to understand the difference between defending his salary and defending his right to spend it in any way he saw fit.
What part of al that did you not understand?

Most surgeons earn a couple of Million a year, sportstars a bit more. I'm surprised prime ministers/president don't make more than a million a year for the amount of responsibility they take on.

I don't think you can compare anyones salary $ for $ with others of the same title/position in different countries.. more to it than that.. cost of living etc.

Personally, I think the prime minister should be paid at least 5 Mil a year.
