How do you think it can be done?
With personal tax rates going down and more services being promised how do you see the governments being able to afford all of these new promises and existing services?

Anyone thinking that Abbott will do a Gillard with the GST has rocks in their head. Labor supportes would just love that, but it aint gonna happen 🙂

Batman......narna - narna - narna - narna narna, narna narna narna Batman
... we need a bat tax.
In June comes this story.
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-06-27/bat-colony-sparks-pacific-highway-route-review/4785118
The Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) is investigating whether a flying fox colony will force changes to the new route for the Pacific Highway.
The flying foxes are roosting in bushland at Bald Hill near Macksville, but it is not known if it is a colony that moved from nearby Bowraville.
The RMS says the colony is close to a section of the proposed Warrell Creek to Nambucca Heads Pacific Highway upgrade.
Original shire settler's families that have owned the same land and passed down through generations since 1850 have been
'bought up" and shifted by the RMS with no regard to how long the family had lived there....
The story above brings yest another costly "survey" just released 11 September 2013 below... 170 plus pages ..because the bats
moved in???

I wish I was born a Bat..... and I bet this local 23 yr old and her parents wishes she was as well they're a protected
species... you know???
http://www.nambuccaguardian.com.au/story/1790180/woman-dies-in-valla-crash/
"A BRIEF will be prepared for the Coroner following the death of a woman in a single-vehicle crash on the Mid North Coast overnight.
Emergency services were called to the Pacific Highway at Valla around 11.45pm (Thursday, September 19) where they
found a 23-year-old woman had died.
The woman was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Police said early investigations indicate the car was travelling south and left the roadway, crashed into an embankment
... so in short.....
locals continue to die, the highway remains unduplicated.
.... governements (state and federal) cry poor as the bulldoze 100 plus year old farmhouses without stripping them and
cart the entire contents off as landfill.... the bats get to stay in their "temporary accomodation" and now the road will not even pass through that area
.... gotta remember the bats....how much gst do they generate???... I have forgotten
on 21-09-2013 08:55 AM
lol.. I have NO idea why you are posting those bat stories here but I find them facinating...
so they are going to re-rout a hwy because of a bat colony? A bat colony that will eventually move anyway as that is what they do after they decimate a roost.....
far out... no wonder we need to increase our revenue when we need to work around these sort of stupid protests...
I say come in during the night and chop the trees. They will find a new home in no time... when the ex cyclone came through here this year that is exactly what happened... the bats had been there for 10 years, changing spots slightly everytime the roost became to damaged. this year the wind destroyed the trees and the bats went for good.... woot... no stinky bat poop on the edge of the river/town.

Yes..... that is what they are contemplating doing...... You can trace the "bat reports" back to the original 2007 environmental impact statement
...... just needed another "report' beacsue the consultants were looking at no christmas bonus... and.. the bats had moved from the
consultants magor source of income at "grassy park" at Bowraville.
My point is rather than raising more revenue. The governments state and federal ned to be a little more prudent on how and why they spend the money raised by GST.
The bats have already had 100s of thousands of dollars spent on them in "'reports and actions" in this area alone.
Not to mention the loss of adjistment income, The cost of yearly immunizations.. and the fact that the hendra virus transferred to a
dog in the area in June 2013...hmmm..... I feel another report coming on
on 27-09-2013 06:23 AM
Well....that was quick.. So this is the place to have a whinge ..eh?
nanananananana Batman......
THE notorious Pacific Highway has claimed more than 850 lives over the past 23 years but now a colony of endangered bats threatens to delay the much-needed upgrade by more than two years.
After The Daily Telegraph exposed the delay last night, Premier Barry O’Farrell directed the Roads and Maritime Service not to change the approved route and he wants an urgent meeting with Prime Minister Tony Abbott to discuss slashing federal green tape delaying the project.
His orders come despite the RMS already commissioning a detailed study into potential alternatives to save the Hendra virus-carrying bats and the launch of another community consultation process.
Mr Abbott yesterday said ensuring the Pacific Highway duplication was not delayed was a top priority for the new government.

If it's a top priority.....Why did they need to be told about the "batout"... before there was any comment ...Nobody cared till it hit the news ???
Luke "Heartsucker" has known for months and months
