Bali Nine's Chan on Indonesia's 2015 execution list
Australian Andrew Chan is among 20 death row prisoners scheduled for execution in Indonesia this year, an official says
Chan, who turned 31 on Monday, joins Myuran Sukumaran, 33, the other Bali Nine ringleader, on that list
However both men have made huge efforts in their rehabilitation, and help other inmates through art, cooking and mentoring programs.
Well there you go boys. Your drug dealing ruined a lot of lives, now it's your turn. Karma's a beach.

Icy
Just read that tonight as well.
Somehow the signs have always pointed to these two NOT getting a pardon.
Agree with you, self inflicted, it's not like you can't see the signs about what the penalty is.
I remember seeing big signs painted on the walls of airports back in the 70's and 80's,
which was an eye opener for a 15 year old flying across the world by themselves.
I don't think they will be a great loss to society.

I think it is best they be shot as soon as possible.its just a shame it took so long. I wish Renae laurence was on the list as well she also sounds like nothing but trouble arranging hits on prison officers and other nasty things

"I wish Renae laurence was on the list"
I was just thinking the same thing.
I don't think the gene pool would miss any of them to be honest.

I haven't read the article yet I will soon and I may get flamed for this but whatever, I couldn't give a rats about Andrew Chan, if he is helping anyone it's only a recent thing, Muyran on the other hand has from day dot done everything possible to turn his life around, I know from friends that he teaches art, english, maths, basic computer skills and other lessons to inmates that have had little or no education, I think his sentence should be commuted to life in prison without hope of ever getting out and on the proviso that he keeps up the lessons.
Yes I saw that interview a while ago where Myuran showed reporters through the jail and the art program he was running. He came across as a very likeable bloke and a talented artist.
Would he have developed that way if he hadn't been caught and jailed though? Or would he be a drug baron by now dealing out the sort of death and destruction we saw recently for that ice addict in Mittagong?
Deprivation of freedom and the prospect of losing one's life tends to sharpen one's perspective, make one reflect inwards, at least for some.
From what I've seen and heard, Indonesian jails are in the line of penalty, not rehabilitation, and are overcrowded. I imagine for every prisoner that is executed, half a dozen more would be admitted on the same day.
Chan and Myuran might still get a last-minute reprieve.

Ben Quilty and Myuran Sukumaran's unlikely friendship
Last week Bali Nine drug smuggler Myuran Sukumaran learned that he would not receive a pardon from Indonesia’s president.
If he lives until the end of 2015, Sukumaran will complete his bachelor of fine arts through Monash University.
