Do you think this would have an adverse effect on how they do their job.
Perhaps would have 'last night' on their minds.
Suppose all the guys have to be virgins also.
Sounds like a really dreary job to me.

And how do they test for the same in men?
An intact hymen is not proof of virginity anyway.

Really, does everyone believe what they read is accurate & factual. ? Give me a break.

C'mon h1907, it's a trio of truth at work. The Sydney Morning Herald, the paper of record; Michael Bachelard reporter of all things genuine; and Human Rights Watch.
You can't beat that lot.

It's just an Islam thing.
and no, the men are not subject to such a test. ↰

It's just one more manifestation of the Islamic view of women. How does a woman's status as being a non virgin automatically disqualify her from acceptance into the police force?
On the face of it, it's riduculous until you understand that Muslims are taught some very strange ideas and values. Strange to us that is, who value the concept of equality of the sexes (remember when we were all shocked by the inauguration of the Women's Liberation Movement?)
We still have a long way to go in our society even though that Movement began in the 1960's
Imagine . . . if that movement had never begun. Imagine if our concepts of women remained stuck back in time somewhere where the little woman waited home for her man to return from work and had the house cleaned and a hot meal ready on the table for him, and he expected it as his right and expected her not to go out and get a job and thereby threaten his status as provider and maintainer.
oh, the shame.
Imagine if we still lived in the 18th century, where the marriage vow (with all my worldly goods I thee endow) was a legally enforceable commitment by the woman, as it was back then.
Imagine if the marriage certificate contained a few blank lines for other women to sign below you, up to four or as many as the man could afford to maintain in equal fashion?
How would you, as a woman feel?
How do you suppose a Muslim woman feels today if married under the provisions of Sharia law back in the old country?
How do you think they feel today in this country knowing that given the right circumstances those conditions could apply to them in this day and age and in this country ?
(please observe the conditional underlined above)
