Ring of Kerry, Dingle peninsula, Cliffs of Moher (if you can stand the crowds, it's worth it). They aren't on the recognised tourist route for nothing.

Any pub in any little village - the hospitality is amazing.

We drove ourselves from Dublin to Waterford, Cork (great night life in the city centre), Killarney, Dingle, Limerick (give that a miss), Galway (my favourite city, had a great time there) and back to Dublin. Loved almost all of it.

If you are into ancient history, Newgrange is pretty special

Never been there but I discovered this week Ireland has its own Alcatraz called Spike Island, looks like a pretty cool place to visit. Had a couple of ancestors spend time there before being transported.
