As some of you may know, my car broke down and i opted to get another and send the old one to the bone yard. Nice to now have a working factory stereo, but as i was becoming familar with the tone/fade controls, I notice that there was no sound when i set to only rear speakers, I found the grills behind the seat, took one out and no speaker, i couldn't even find a wire to connect to one, so thinking it never had them, however the apperance of grills is just false advertising, isn't it?
Are there wires back there I am not seeing, or do I have to run them from the dash unit all the way back? I have the old speakers out of the Nova, so have speakers for it, just would like to find the easyest way to wire them up.

Are they actual metal grills, or just a pattern of perforations in the package tray? My Isuzu Space Cab came sans radio altogether.......I installed a Pioneer am/fm/CD player into it. The front dash had speaker grills, I put speakers in them, and installed Pioneer speakers behind the seats, under the back windows..........Easy-peasy.....

There's working door speakers, sound great, for a factory stereo, this thing is awesome. Behind the seats, theres factory looking plastic grills, i removed one with a screwdriver expecting to see a blown speaker and none, then i felt around behind the panel expecting to find a speaker wire, nothing, but i never checked the passenger side yet.
This truck has the factory unit in it with a CD and cassette, Good thing as there are no good radio stations where I am. Too far from Columbus to get QFM96.3.. So I bought some blank CDs and loaded myself down with tunes from the computer.
Thing works now on the door speakers, I'd like to have rear speakers too, but don't want to go messing around with the dash unit and mess something up and have no music at all. The radio has a fade from front to back, so i'm thinking the wires have to be there somewhere in the back, without having to pull out the dash unit and run new ones.

This video will show you how to remove your radio to access the speaker harness, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFUkasQT74Q
You'll have to feed wiring for the rear speakers under the carpet and door sill, then slip it up the rear panel to the speaker openings.
You'll have to go to a car stereo store to obtain a four-speaker harness, or it may well be that the harness is already installed, and you simply have to hook up the new wiring.

i wish it did have carpet, its rubber though. if i have to tear into the dash and run wires, i may as well install a dash unit that can read SD cards and has RCAs so i can run an amp and subs... just kidding, but i am gonna look again for already existing wires before running my own.
Thanks 4 the video.

I've never figured out the logic of sticking an amp and woofers into any car, let alone a pickup.....unless one's goal is to irritate the neighbors.......

I wonder how many of those people who stick an amp and woofers into their car also invest a little money into a quiet exhaust system so that they can hear their music better, ๐

Ah........the sound of 450 horses exhausting through a pair of Turbo mufflers was always music to my ears.........
