Katy Perry was slammed this week as her Geisha themed performance at the AMA's was criticized for being culturally insensitive. Perry's performance of her single 'Unconditionally' saw the singer dressed in white powder face make up, a Geisha outfit appropriated to bear her assets, equipped with parasols, fans and asian back up dancers. Lady Gaga today defended Katy Perry saying people were "too sensitive".

And mentions several times in her songs her admiration for the culture.
*sigh* Whats old is new again.
Besides, what happened to 'imitation being flattery'?? Doesnt matter what you say or do, someone is ready with (real or imagined) outrage or offense.

Whoa! That's bizarre! I wouldn't call it racist, though.
