That is kind of funny..... reading that ... can he expect anyone to believe he withdrew because Abbott had legal representation?
''I don't think he meant to connect,'' Mr Woof says. ''It was more like when a person … keeps their elbow quite bent and brings the fist sort of across the face.'' Nevertheless, he adds, ''I had to duck.''
Mr Woof was sufficiently aggrieved days later to go to the Glebe courthouse and lay a previously unreported civil claim for assault against Mr Abbott.
After giving evidence to the magistrate and being asked to call witnesses, Mr Woof decided his cause was doomed in the face of this firepower, and withdrew. ''One way or another I could see I would be outmanoeuvred,'' he said.

DY: "I just heard about another punching incident from his university days"
I am intrigued DH as to your fixation with this topic, as you have started a couple of past threads concerning the same topic:-
April: Is the Liberal Party full of thugs?
March: Abbott wall-puncher case held over to 2014
June: Is Tony Abbott a thug?
A secret "thug" fetish?, or a drive for more members of the RSPCW?

So how many of these stories are there? There is a story somewhere that goes, hear it twice it is a coincidence, hear it 3 times?
I'd say he is a thug. Assault is breaking the law isn't it Az?
Yes it is... if it is true, however, the reasons given for calling off the charges are a bit odd...... I was involved in an assault case in the early 70's...... the DPP charged the person..... I only had to appear as a witness if he denied the charges, there was no opportunity for me to withdraw them. Fortunately, he plead guilty.
I don't believe his story......

I like some of Clive Palmer's policies, but I can't vote for him because he'll give his prefs to the rabbit.
