Is an internet filter the same as free speech?

I thought this was a good idea... at first I was cheesed off as I read they were going to filter the internet and then I read about it and actually thought it was a good idea if you could opt out. 

now it is a no go...

You thought it was a good idea catmad? I didn't think it was a good idea, not a good idea at all. Sounds like the Liberal Party who initially thought it was a good idea no longer think it is a good idea either.

Some times it's a good idea to think through your good ideas more carefully before publishing them.

If there’s anything that limits child porn being spread then it is a good idea. Don't know if the opt in or opt out is a winner though.
