MP Billy Gordon is the man who could crash the Queensland government
THE Queensland state government could come crashing down after Premier Annastacia Palazsczuk has dumped troubled rookie MP Billy Gordon.
Mr Gordon has admitted a string of undeclared criminal offences, including a violence order, The Courier Mail reported.
Independent MP and Speaker Peter Wellington has also called on the MP to resign so there can be a by-election in his far north Queensland seat which could cost Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk her premiership.
Without Mr Gordon’s support, the Labor — which only has enough seats to form a minority government and relies on the support of Mr Wellington — would no longer have enough seats in Parliament to govern.
Ms Palaszczuk has expressed disgust over the revelations against Gordon.
Some of Mr Gordon’s admissions include
• Breaking, entering and stealing in 1987 in Innisfail.
• Breaking and entering with intent, attempted breaking and entering and stealing in 1990 in Atherton.
• Breach of probation in 1992 in Atherton.
• Public nuisance in 1996 in Normanton.
• Breach of bail conditions in 1999 (stemming from not attending a court summons from the 1996 incident).
• Twice had driver’s licence suspended for unlicensed driving (2004 and 2008).
• Apprehended Violence Order
He said the AVO was never heard in court and did not form part of a criminal record.
I think young Billy is over-qualified to be a member of parliament. We've all seen how these grubs behave so what's wrong with Billy. Just think of the way MPs behave and see if Billy has anything in his CV that might go against him:
an MP who slept in his car at a truck stop so he could claim travel allowance
an MP who declard O'Possum Bay the new capital of Tasmania so he could claim a higher travel allowance rate
MP's allowed to repay money they had 'MISTAKENLY' claimed
an MP who porked his missus on his office desk
an MP who forgot he owned a 50% share of a concreting company
an MP who spied on his customers before he entered parliament
an MP who drove past his matrimonial home so that he could visit his girlfriend
ETC. ETC. ETC.
We have the grubbiest politicians so the message to Billy is: STAY>

He has been sacked. He is not fit to be a politician because he lied to his Premier.
The fault lies entirely with the selection process which allowed him to get as far as he did.
There has been other recent criminal behaviour in the LNP ranks, but those people are still around. Kudos to the Premier for her actions.
Even if Labor loses the by election, the government will not "crash".

I have to wonder how paperchick will handle this hurdle?
Having expelled billy boy, and if billy stays on as an indi will she accept his support? Will billy give support after being expelled.?
Seeing that billy boy cant be forced out of parliament, what if he supports the opposition? Will the opposition accept the support of a crook?

To your last question, yes, they already are.

Is he unfit?
Yes. We don't want criminals in Government, but nothing the voters can do about it unless they know of criminal charges in advance.
He is not the only one pretending to care about Australians welfare as an MP. If one could dig up every MPs past, one may find an ants-nest of dodgy people there in both parties.
