Thousands of Americans have signed a petition calling for President Barack Obama to revoke Justin Bieber's visa and deport the singer to his native Canada following his recent arrest.
The 19-year-old pop star was charged in Miami Florida on Thursday with driving under the influence, resisting arrest without violence and driving without a valid licence.
The petition was launched on Whitehouse.org hours after Bieber's arrest.
It states: "We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked.
"He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nation's youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society."
The campaign has garnered more than 40,000 signatures, but must reach 100,000 before White House staff will agree to review it and "ensure it's sent to the appropriate policy experts".
The White House petition is not the only campaign that has been launched following his arrest - 17 additional petitions calling for the same action have appeared online.

he has 50mln followers......
Immigration lawyer Stacy Tolchin, quoted in the Los Angeles Times newspaper, said Bieber's alleged offenses in Miami Beach, while "not good," were unlikely to add up to a violation of his O-1B status.

The Bieb is a very minor bad boy by Canadian standards. Take self-confessed crack cocaine enthusiast Rob Ford, who just happens to be mayor of Toronto.

Too much fame and money at too young an age.

Very funny.More influence say, than coke-snorting sport stars or adulterous politicians or the NRA.
Or Miley Cyrus

I agree. This kid has been flattered and fawned on, by shrieking teeny boppers and groomed and manipulated by money hungry "handlers" since he was about 14. Throughout some of the most impressionable years of his life he has been taught to believe that he is someone special and can do no wrong. Now he has outgrown his wonderchild appeal, his adoring fans are abandoning him as if he were a puppy that has lost it's cuteness and his handlers are probably out there alredy looking for another child to exploitt. It happened to Macaulay Culkin, it happened toBritney Spears, it happened to Miley Cyrus. How the hell does anyone expect these kids to react.
