Is the Liberal Party sticking to it's beliefs?

Here they are, for those that don't know:

We Believe:

In the inalienable rights and freedoms of all peoples; and we work towards a lean government that minimises interference in our daily lives; and maximises individual and private sector initiative

In government that nurtures and encourages its citizens through incentive, rather than putting limits on people through the punishing disincentives of burdensome taxes and the stifling structures of Labor's corporate state and bureaucratic red tape.

In those most basic freedoms of parliamentary democracy - the freedom of thought, worship, speech and association.

In a just and humane society in which the importance of the family and the role of law and justice is maintained.

In equal opportunity for all Australians; and the encouragement and facilitation of wealth so that all may enjoy the highest possible standards of living, health, education and social justice.

That, wherever possible, government should not compete with an efficient private sector; and that businesses and individuals - not government - are the true creators of wealth and employment.

In preserving Australia's natural beauty and the environment for future generations.

That our nation has a constructive role to play in maintaining world peace and democracy through alliance with other free nations.

In short, we simply believe in individual freedom and free enterprise; and if you share this belief, then ours is the Party for you.

Liberal MPs used law firm to launder donation funds, ICAC hears

NSW Premier Mike Baird has asked Liberal MP Marie Ficarra to step aside as parliamentary secretary advising the premier after a dramatic opening morning of an Independent Commission Against Corruption inquiry into abuse of electoral funding laws.

The inquiry heard on Monday that former state energy minister Chris Hartcher and other Liberal MPs corruptly solicited hundreds of thousands of dollars in illegal political donations and used a law firm to launder some of the cash.

Counsel assisting the inquiry, Geoffrey Watson, SC, said investigators had uncovered evidence of the "systematic subversion of the electoral funding laws of NSW".

Coal mine proponent distances itself from ex-lobbyist ahead of ICAC inquiry

The proponent of a controversial coal mine on the New South Wales Central Coast is distancing itself from former lobbyist, Nick di Girolamo ahead of a new corruption inquiry into political donations.

The Independent Commission Against Corruption is examining allegations former Energy Minister, Chris Hartcher and Central Coast MPs Chris Spence and Darren Webber corruptly solicited payments in return for favours.

Questions have been raised about the Liberals' turnaround in support for the Wallarah Two underground coal mine near Wyong, which they staunchly opposed when in opposition.

Nick di Girolamo was a registered lobbyist for the mine between March 2012 and April last year.

It is also alleged that Mr Nicolaou, on the letterhead of the Liberal Party's fund-raising arm the Millennium Forum, urged 2GB broadcaster Alan Jones to use his radio program to destroy her career.

Yep, they sure are sticking to their beliefs. Note how when the news came out about the Libs illegal donation for favour slush fund the PM had a random press conference to talk about the missing plane  :D:D:D
