I think you can ask the council who owns the property. Have a look at the council web site for your area.

Polks the property is in NSW.

If you are in NSW, ring the titles office in Sydney, or go if you live near Sydney (would there be smaller offices in regional areas?) and I'm sure the same would apply.

The alternative is if you know a RE agent (anywhere) personally who would do you a favour and not dob you in to the other agent, or not want any part of the sale, they can give you the info after 5 seconds on their computer.

I know that the council in Brisbane gives very little info about properties, and if they do, they charge lots of $$$.

A3 the only info I have is his name and that he lives in QLD, the RE handle the rental of the property. The RE wouldn't give the info to a tenant.

That makes it a bit harder then.

The RE wouldn't give the info to a tenant. Except for our previous RE who used to forward the water bill to us with the owners name and address still on it (address should have been blanked out).

I want to find the fellow who owns our unit, I can't ask the RE because I have a feeling he wants to sell. We want to cut them out by negotiating with him to buy, if the price is right.

curious

why can't you ask the RE?

also, if you do get hold of him you might end up paying more if the vendor doesnt give the authority to sell it through a RE agent. If on the market & somebody does make an offer, you can offer more and this way atleast you'll know the current market value

Signatures suck.

Joz, they wouldn't tell me because they get paid to handle the property. I know what it's worth to me Joz, if my offer wasn't accepted I have nothing to lose. We have a lease until next year, we can look elsewhere.
