Trying to make sure Labor doesn't get back in?
Given that Tony Abbott is so incredibly unpopular.
Solved! Go to Solution.

to Lind ref:
40 years ago I was asked to stand for local Council. I denied then, due to tight family commintments.
Today I am sorry I did not accept and progress into politics.
I could not have done a worse job than our last four PMs, but today I would have a cushy home and life pension with all sorts of perks thrown into the retirement.
Oooohhhh, how sorry I am!

That's an Abbott line... PM not a popularity contest.. he has many more issues than that.! Public don't respect him.
Even if he remains a PM next week, the damage is done.. he will be a marked man. As far as the LNP go, if he is still PM at the next electtion they won't have much chance of winning and they know that.
Absolute rubbish that the unfair and inequitable Budget proposals not passing Senate can be blamed on anyone else other than Abbott & his Govt.
Labors fault, Gillard, Rudd blah, blah, repeat, repeat... nonsense.
The advantage would be not having a gaffe prone, backflipping, captain pick fail, no future vision, embarrasing to the nation Prime Minister!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Julie Bishop and Malcolm Turnbull offer only tacit support to Tony Abbott as his leadership flounders

What damage has been done if the spill motion does not go ahead? in fact it will show that the NLP has solidarity where as the Lefties promoted disunity at every turn.
Speaking of backflips how about JOOLYA!! with the "There will be no carbontax under a government I lead" short memory am3?
oh and was not Nova Peris a "captains pick?" likewise with Slippery Pete and the guy who replaced Krudd as Foreign Minister, remember?

We are not speaking of Julia though are we!! ABBOTT is the PM right now...... there is no way any past political party is responsible for where he is right now.... he brought it all upon himself...
What damage has been done if the spill motion does not go ahead?Read a variety of news articles from different msm media outlets... its all spelt out in those .. whether a left bias or right bias oned.
How could it spell solidarity if 20, 30, 40 vote to have Abbott removed?

Well if it is less than 41, then that would be an IMPROVEMENT so not sure why you are saying 20. 30 or 40 because
he never had those numbers in support of him anyway.
Remember, the last vote was 41/42.

20 30 40 are your nUmbers am3 , let us see if the spill motion even gets up, which I doubt, give the NLP some credit, the vast majority are not as stupid as the majority in an other party.
the person who puts the motion and the seconder, by doing that have sealed their political aspirations and i would not be surprised to see them resign.
am3 you may be interested to know that policy decisions are are made by the MPs and not any one individual , unlike Krudd
That was/is a Labor trait.
