How many km's over the limit were you az? That seems to make a difference to the outcome of a review/appeal of traffic fine. If not many (<10 km), usually more successful.

you should have had your solicitor write to them Az.   that works some times.

The solicitors costs (Approx $270 p.h) would possibly be equal to or more than a fine.

....sounds like a familiar and 'on topic' story.....our local paper recently published news that our shire finance manager and shire 2IC both got off fines/charges- one was caught driving his 4WD in a nature reserve and the other for parking in an Acrod (Austr Council for Rehabilitation of Disabled) parking bay. Not right, hey?

OMG paints - we must be near neighbours - same local paper.Smiley LOL

We decided to try the letter, I have never had one before, so was not really a huge issue for me. The solicitor would have been overkill. I think I was 11k over but was following another relative to the airport and trying not to lose him, so trust it was correct.

Yep she-lellyfants.....perhaps so!! Geez they (pollies) are rotten sometimes. What gets up my goat is how they are legally NEVER accountable due to their holding of office. I am not referring to how they blatantly make false promises or even lie verbally. Their actions I am talking about. Anything super important they will just get a Dept CEO to hold the keys.......and these CEO's usually duck for cover and hide behind public servants within their Dept

....Why do we need Govt again?

The trouble is even after a coup you have to have somebody running the show. And you know what they say : "all power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely."
