That eBay or Lithium know how many messages I've read. (It's catalogued in your Statistics page).
I guess that by messages they mean posts, as I haven't received close to the number of PMs that they say for them to mean I have read that many of those.
But Crikey! How do they know if I read a post, scrolled past it or even read the same post a few times?
More importantly, why do they bother collecting this data at all, far less reporting the results to me?

Did anyone watch that show last night on the rise and rise of Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook?
They target their advertising to you going by the information you give when you fill in the application.
He turned down $15 billion offer from Microsoft to buy FB.

If you find that creepy.. what do you think about use of smart phones, tracking your every move? Facebook is creepy too.
I signed into an old FB account recently (no friends on it, I never posted on it), haven't done that for years. Soon after FB sent me a do you know this person email.. I did, a relative of mine. How did they connect me to them?. I have never emailed that person with the email account used for the FB account or any other email addresses from that email service.

Am.............you do not have to have emailed the person..........it happens simply because they are in you email contacts.

FB a/c uses an old isp email address that I don't use anymore, so yes, that could be it. I forgot that, as I only use hotmail now.
