As much as I love having these guys around they make a awful mess of the dogs water every night. 2 last night , 3 the night before

Cute. Maybe find them a larger shallow dish or tray, chuck a couple of rocks in. They will probably prefer it and leave the dogs bowl along?

Do the dogs need the water of a night? Perhaps you could remove or cover the dog water for a few nights and leave the other dish out for the frogs. After a few nights put the dog water back out but in a different spot. Hopefully the frogs will stay in their own dish.

There are also wire racks that elevate dog dishes. What sort of dogs do you have? you could just put the dish up on something . The frogs need little pond to mate in 🙂

It's so long since I have seen green frogs. Wonderful.
I know snails like dog food pellets; perhaps the frogs are treating themselves to the little bits of food left by a slurping dog.

Invite a Frenchman to dinner, that should solve the problem, could be fun too 😉
