Job loss was Bracks' 'fault'

Bracks campaigned against the Coalition... he held fundraisers and actively worked against Tony Abbott and the Coalition so why should he be able to keep his job?

How can he be trusted to represent Tony Abbott on the world stage if he worked to keep him out?

He took on a role to represent the Commonwealth... he should have kept his head down and just focused on  his job considering he had started in the role last month.

In other words he spoke at a Labor candidates fundraiser so deserves to lose his job for it.

PETER Costello has been given a taxpayer-funded job by the Rudd government helping to run the Future Fund he established as Treasurer.

He is the latest Coalition MP to accept a job offer from the Prime Minister following the recruitment of former Liberal leader Brendan Nelson and former Nationals leader Tim Fischer to diplomatic posts.

Liberal leader Malcolm Turnbull this morning welcomed the move but said there was some irony in Mr Costello's appontment to the key role given the Rudd government had recently railed against the previous administration's economic management.

Treasurer Wayne Swan and Finance Minister Lindsay Tanner today announced that Mr Costello would be appointed to the Future re Fund Board of Guardians.

"To have the experience of someone like Mr Costello on the Future Fund board will be of great benefit,” Lindsay Tanner said.

Mr Costello will fill the position on the board that will become vacant when the term of Mr John Paterson expires.

Beazley still has his job...

And when you sign a government contract there is a clause about working against your employer. I can't remember exactly what it says.. all I know is that you must be very careful.

I even got permission from my boss to do what I did over the campaign.
