Korea Ranked Near Bottom in Quality of Life May 29, 2013
Australia has the best quality of life in the OECD, a survey suggests. The Wall Street Journal on Monday reported that the OECD's Better Life index puts Australia on top for the third year running.
The index awards points in 11 categories like housing, income, jobs, education and health. Although the OECD does not announce the overall rankings, the WSJ said, "If each of the 11 categories in the survey is given equal weight, Australia's cumulative ranks rises to No. 1."
Even as advanced countries suffered economic slumps, Australia's economy has managed to grow steadily.
Second was Sweden, followed by Canada, Norway, Switzerland, the U.S., Denmark, the Netherlands, Iceland and the U.K.
Korea ranked near the bottom in all categories except education and public safety. In the area of work-life balance, it ranked fourth from the bottom after Turkey, Mexico and Japan. That means Koreans work too much and rest too little.

When Tony Abbott mentions the focus being 'less Geneva' ..could he mean less Geneva 'Convention' ?

That's another thing Freaki. We know that Tony Abbott took 20 top business chiefs to Indonesia on his first trip there (not so much Asylum seeker focused as it turned out). One of those I know is Lend Lease who are on Alexander Downer's Lobbyist list (they have had some issues here and overseas), Alexander Downers lobbying firm had some involvement in the attempt by the contractors to hang on to the NBN.Also another business Chief Tony Abbott took to Indonesia was Alf Moufarriage from Servcorp..you may be interested to read this ?
Generational change: Servcorp’s Moufarriges go from property play to virtual services

Marcus the younger son of company founder and current chief executive Alf Moufarrige has mixed feelings about the national broadband network – he says anything that delivers better broadband is a good thing, but thinks it is a missed opportunity to invest in better undersea cables to the rest of the world, particularly Singapore, Japan and the US.

Yes, Iza. I think one of the problems with NBN is trusting Lend Lease and people like Switoffsky.

Unfortunately I don't think trust has much to do with it ...unless you are referring to voters who trusted this Government ?

No, I meant NBN Co trusted Lend lease to play fair in their dealing with NBN Co, considering they won the biggest contracts. It seem to me that they got the money and then tried to stymie the process as much as possible. I think there was some level of lets stuff thsi while labor are in so we can buy it at fire sale prices when the Libs get back in.

sorry I didn't know Lend Lease were involved.Only that NBN contacted Downer's Bespoke (lobbyists).
I know that Lend Lease is a client of Bespoke.
