I am somewhat sad to hear that Crean will not contest his seat of Hotham at the coming election. One can only hope that Crean's wish that: " it was critical that rank-and-file Labor members in Hotham were given a say in the preselection" eventuates.

I am absolutely DELIGHTED that Crean is going.  

It was like an early Christmas present this morning.  "YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I shouted at the radio, "YES YES YES".  

Some people see him as a Rudd supporter.  I don't.  He put the challenge in March without even talking to Rudd.  

I see him as a bitter and confused man.  And, I hope he can spend a lot of the time in retirement thinking about how many lives he has changed for the worse.
