I am sure I saw the kindle advertised as lighter than a book and thinner than a magazine.
The advantage is, it holds more than one book.

My son got one for Christmas..
He has spent the last week laying in bed reading... some nights he stays up until 2am...
He has already read 6 books since Christmas!!!
His brother has downloaded over 100 books for him....
I don't know if I am happy or sad!!

I saw that the other day. It looks good but the colour turned me off a bit.

Hmm...cat....will this become an obsession? maybe you need to make some rules about it?
on โ03-01-2012 10:00 AM
Yes.. it is another obsession.. but much cheaper than having to buy the books.. as it is holidays I was looking to buy 2 books a week and that was getting costly..
His dad got it for him thank goodness.
The one good thing is that I can tell him to do certain jobs or I will confiscate both the pc and the kindle...
we have just bought a metal detector and will be going out every night to scourer the beaches.. that will get him out of the house.

Amy, I don't know, but had a quick look at their feedback, doubt I would buy off them.
What I am going to do is save and get a proper Kindle cover, and possibly accessories, when I can.
Catmad, is your son getting some of the free books?
Don't know how old he is, but in case you don't know, there is a Pixelofink Young Edition you can subscribe to, as well as Pixelofink.
