Hi there, Ive been following this thread and from all the hints and advice have got the kindle app on my laptop, plus have over 600 FREE books from Pixel of Ink and Inspired Reads. Thanks Amy and everyone
I want a kindle!! But am going to wait until I can afford the Kindle Fire:-D
Catch of the Day is advertising Kindles for $59 for the 1st March, fingers crossed I can get one of them which will make me very happy until I can get the more expensive colour one, lol
I have a question ...you know the blurb that describes the book, once you have purchased and downloaded, is there anyway you can see the book desciption on the Kindles?
i have so many now that Im not able to remember the story outline anymore :^O
Be careful getting the fire. At the moment it is only available in the US and the apps can only be downloaded to the US.
I have been reading the Kindle forums and they are full of complaints about the lack of apps for non-US purchasers. even Canadians who have driven to the states to buy one in store cannot get the apps on to them.

I've read that too. I would get a tablet if you want a fire, because that is essentially what they are. They are backlit which can cause eyestrain compared to the Kindle e-readers.

No it's today but don't hold your breath trying to get any of their deals today, I honestly think when they have these types of days they only have a few of anything and if you manage to catch anything by the time you get to checkout you time out.
Good luck if you are trying though.
