I think my kindle is great, no backlight........I have a pendo which is backlit and I get very tired when I use that to read. Kindle is really the same as a paper book, without the weight?

I really wanted the Fire until I had a good look at it.

well - didn't get one - the books I want to read aren't much cheaper - I can't pass them on either.

Dopey guy in JB HiFi tried to get me to buy an iPad - for 'not much more' than a 'kobo' - you dope I have an iPhone I can read books on it if I want to - and the kindle/kobo is much smaller and lighter than an iPad - and more likely not to be nicked. So all on the back burner - no Kindles to play with (they all needed charging :()

Haven't seen those ones.

I am reading 2 series at the moment, have all 3 books in one, the other has about 5, I have 3, but will probably get the  rest on Kindle.

Elemental Assassin series by Jennifer Estes and another series by Stacia Kane, not called anything but the first book is Unholy Ghosts.

Actually I still have a few books in the Laurell K Hamilton Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series to read, think I have all but the last one on my bookshelf.

I got the Kindle Fire last month (I had a friend over there at the time & had it sent to his freight handler so he could pick it up on his way through LA), and I LOVE it! ๐Ÿ˜„

I have run out of room for books, so this solves my issues re too many bookshelves B-)

The finger prints aren't an issue as I don't find them any worse than the ones I get on my 4s.  I got a cool purple cover from Dick's, & because it is backlit, don't have to worry about a light.;-)

It fits nicely into my bag, & I can do all my FB'ing without having to drag out the lappy so often....

I highly recommend the fire, & for $199 from the A site, it was a bargain!

Tried everything twice......loved it both times!
Oh please DFO
