Just bought an Amazon gift voucher.

I do online surveys and i'd accumulated 900 points.

So i redeemed some of the points and used  them to buy myself a $25 Amazon gift card.

glad you got it sorted Rosie.

lol at azure and her pixelsofink affair.

I get my pixelofink freebies through my facebook

Amy, I think that there are more choices by getting the Pixel of Ink email each day. Yes there are some freebies advertised on their facebook page, but then there are other books that I've only seen as a result of getting the daily email.

Carrots is a book I finished last night, about a woman who was in the grocery store buying carrots, was injured during a robbery attempt, and found herself able to read minds. She ended up working for a mobster type guy to solve some mysteries for him. Was a freebie and a very good read.

I read some on my pc when I was waiting for mine to come. You just specify to send it to your pc instead of your kindle.

Sorry Amy, have had visitors all day.

Your friend can register with Amazon, then download Kindle for PC and get them on to her 'puter, that's what I did while I dithered on whether to get one or not, and which one.

Re the amazon discussion boards - they have discussions for all genres that you can track thru your email - so you know when some one has added to the discussion

I am always monitoring the "coming soon" eg in romance - this is where I am able to pre order upcoming titles that I want to buy

I love participating in the forums there

Also when I log onto amazon - it gives me a list of titles  recommended on what I have purchased so far - so I can see similar authors/ebooks

There is a thread on the romance discussion boards at the moment - where people recommend what is free daily - it is good to check because some books can be free or greatly reduced for a short period of time

As I said I have been badly spoilt by my kindle
