Mr 13 gave me his kindle today and was most upset and angry that the screen appears cracked.
I got onto the amazon web site and did a free call back and within two minutes I was talking to someone and they organised a replacement one. The whole process took less than 10 minutes.
It should arrive by the 8th Feb...
I am very impressed.

That is really good service cat.....was it cracked? Mine takes a fair amount of rough handling but has never been a problem. I have a screen protector on mine.

lol, my sis in law asks people what they are reading on it. I heard about them from her, after a trip she made os, she saw a woman using one, asked...and came back ome armed with the info and an obsession for us both.

Not sure how it broke... he says he does not know... it was in his bag but does have a cover.. I guess anything could have bumped his bag but all the other electronics have survived for several years.
He won't be taking this new one to school.

has he broken it catmad or did it arrive broken?
he has had it since december..
apparently there was a threat of a group lawsuit because so many had broken screens that they decided to jsut replace them.
I will say that the screen is not actually cracked. the glass is fine. The guy on the phone said it was an internal problem that creates a cracked screen look.
