Sandilands wanted salary doubled
Kyle and Jackie O decided to leave their hugely popular show with Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) because the company refused to double Sandilands' salary, according to reports.
Executives told The Daily Telegraphthat Sandilands demanded a $4 million yearly salary to stay at 2Day FM, up from his current $2 million paycheque.
"It would have taken a ridiculous sum of money to get him to stay - and we are not in the business of paying ridiculous sums of money," one executive was quotes as saying.
It is unclear if Jackie O, who earns half as much as her co-host, will stay on at SCA.

I hope they headhunt Yumi Stynes off the breakfast show to team up with Jackie. Yumi has the potential to be every bit as outrageous as Kyle.

Well Yay! to getting rid of Sami and Yumi, but Boo! to getting Kyle and Jackie O! That was totally unexpected!
While Mix 106 retains their programming format as in hits from the 90's to now, I'll probably stay with them and will have to put up with Kyle and Jackie. I've never actually listened to any of their shows, just hated Kyle from what I'd heard of his outbursts in the news, so he might be not much worse than Yumi.
See what happens next year.
