Kyogle NSW Would Be Nice To Visit

 

Kyogle is a town of approximately 4000 people in the Northern Rivers region of northern New South Wales, Australia. It was founded in the 1830's as a lumber camp, and is located 758 km north of Sydney, 32 km north of Casino on the Summerland Way close to the Queensland border. It also lies on the banks of the Richmond River. Kyogle is an indigenous word meaning "plains turkey's egg".

Kyogle is a vibrant town with a rich heritage. Cattle grazing, dairy farming and Forestry are the primary industries. In the past, timber getting was the main reason for settlement in the area, with red cedar and hoop pine the main timber trees. Kyogle is the gateway to many National Parks including Border Ranges National Park and Toonumbar National Park.

Kyogle is beautiful.

And just over the hill from Nimbin Smiley Tongue

 

My grandmother was born at Woodebong.

 

I love all that part of the country, the hills, the creeks, the green grass, just beautiful   *sigh*

 I lived there for 10 years, had a business there, children went to school there, involved in community there..................still have friends there............ (never going back)

There is nothing to compare.... the misty mornings, beautiful scenery, fabulous lifestyle if that is what you want.

I don't miss the ticks, the fencing, the teen alcohol issues, the cattle dipping, the MJ smoking/growing neighbours.... or the clique.
