IF: "either way we have him for a few years yet so best get used to it"

IF,  you ask for the impossible, as the pink Myops have severe PPTSD coupled with individual worn differentials.

JMK: "I've been wondering all along how on earth our economy is supposed to be able to support that enormous baby bonus package for starters"

I suspect JMK that you have no idea apropos:  May 2013 "Labor announced in the budget that from March 1 next year, the baby bonus would be replaced by increase in Family Tax Benefit Part A.

In which case JMK you will be most  unlikely to comprehend how the economy supports an annual $130 billion social welfare budget.

Are you confused in your misery and panic over the radical poll shift, mm? You're quoting me for someone else's post.

But it's nice to know I'm forefront in your mind 😄 such that it is.

I should add, I do agree with Deb's query about affordability of the posh parental payment. It's frivolous and a huge waste of money, considering the existing LABOR parental leave plan is good enough during the "budget emergency". Coff.

I still don't understand how all the average Australians with average earning capacity were silly enough to vote for a party who never helps the poor.

Oh well enjoy your poverty for the next 3 years you earned it. Smiley Sad

yes, I wonder about a lot of the things this govt. is either doing or proposing to do

I wonder why Peter Reith wrote a report on fracking in Vic too.

He hasn't done everything wrong .. he did 'apparently' save our money by staying at the AFP College

..not this  $3,000/week house

Senior DPMC official Elizabeth Kelly said the department signed a 12-month lease on August 31, a week before the September 7 federal election.

It signed even though neither Mr Abbott nor then Labor prime minister Kevin Rudd had been able to inspect the property due to their election campaign commitments.

Ms Kelly said the department had wanted to find accommodation “comparable” to The Lodge.

A luxury Canberra property intended to house Prime Minister Tony Abbott is sitting vacant, but it's still costing taxpayers $3000 a week.

Because Australians are primarily (as Mark Latham coined it) aspirational voters - middle class pretending to be upper class through consumerism. Multiple new cars, big screen TVs, overseas holidays, private school fees, 4 bathroom houses, designer duds, false nails - all on middle class incomes, all with huge debts and all crying poor.

Someone once asked a group of us what Kimmy (from Kath and Kim) would vote and it was unanimously agreed she would be a Liberal voter. Need I say more?
