i can't figure out why she cut (at least) his head off if she was just going to dump the body by the side of the road and set fire to it.

If the accident occurred as she said & he had died from slipping & hitting his head, even if in the course of an argument or fight, why not just ring police & tell the truth?

On the other hand, if you wanted to hide the fact someone had died & get rid of their body, it's a very poor effort. I'd give it a D minus.

the story doesnt go into detail re the 'cutting up of the body'

it doesnt even say was the head with the 'torso'?

were the arms and legs removed?

my thoughts are, after killing him she couldnt lift him to get him out to the car. hence the cutting up.

i know when my dad passed out in the bathroom during one of his strokes i couldnt lift him on my own to get him into the bedroom.

i had to wait for the ambulance to arrive.

people are heavy when they are not awake (or dead)

i allways think 'how did they move the body?' when watching tv murder shows. you see very small murderer supposedly carrying a large victim from the house to a car, getting them in the boot, driving some distance then carrying them from the car to someplace, then having the energy to bury them!
