The latest scientific research shows regularly drinking one or two standard  drinks daily of wine or other alcohol provides positive health benefits for most  people.

Whether it's heart disease, many types of cancer, diabetes, dementia or  stroke, a large body of evidence now exists that shows light to moderate  consumption compared to abstaining or heavy drinking can help keep a range of  diseases at bay.

What's your wine of choice? Red or White

What specifically? Grape-wise

How much do you drink?

I'm also curious how much people spend on wines.

I was hoping this was a thread for tips on wine choice. Smiley Happy

Spend very little, drink alcohol on average once a year but should be knocking back 2 glasses of red a night for existing health conditions. Smiley Sad

Bright 🙂

I don't drink much either (;-D) but enjoy a good bubbly white also known as champagne except the frenchies don't like it when you call it that if it's not from that area in old France-ay.

I'll have 1 or 2 glasses every night with dinner. More if I am having dinner with my dad cause he tends to keep pouring.

Red or white for me. The red has to be good (I am having a good one right now - Radford Spice Bush Shiraz) otherwise I will chuck lemonade in it.

Happy to drink cask white but has to be sweet like a Verdelho.

I won't spend much on a white but will pay up to $30 for a decent red to drink with dinner.

It is a valid question. The regularity of intake is why you might have withdrawal symptoms while someone who gets blotto twice a week probably wouldn't (plus you could be drinking from 350ml tumblers and only having '2 a night'). Smiley Happy Like having a mild headache when you stop having your 2 or 3 coffes a day.
