Watch the hate come out now because its Pickering.
He is allowed an opinion and free speech without having to live in fear of Islamic Muslim terrorists and have his life and family threatened
So who else in the media will be threatened by Islam for having an opinion
CONTROVERSIAL cartoonist Larry Pickering has been placed under protective surveillance by counter terrorism police after he posted a derogatory picture depicting the prophet Muhammad on his website.
Mr Pickering was visited at home by detectives from Queensland Police on Sunday evening.
The officers, who arrived unannounced, said Mr Pickering had “upset a lot of people” and they were putting the four-time Walkley Award-winning cartoonist under high-priority protective surveillance.
“They didn’t say specifically why they were there,” Mr Pickering said.
“I guess they must have picked up some intelligence or chatter after I did the cartoon.
“They gave me their details and special phone numbers and said if I call they will be there in minutes.”

“I might be more prominent than some but we have to show that we won’t be cowed by acts of barbarism.”
Police also told Mr Pickering that other articles he had published had been “provocative”.
“I’m standing up for free speech,” he said. “If you don’t do that then you have already lost the board game.”

With the right to an opinion and free speech, also comes responsibilty.

If you want to post it be my guest.
Even though I dont consider it offensive and it was drawn the day of the Paris attacks I am sure if I posted it, it would offend the easily offended button pushers and soft left we have on here

Isn't that a tautology?

Sometimes you actually have to stand up and be counted.
Evelyn Beatrice Hall (not Voltaire) once wrote “I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it”, which to me is the fundamental conviction which underpins a person’s rights and obligations in a free, open and democratic society. Sadly all too many are prepared assert the right, but all too few have the backbone to meet their obligations.
Yes, what Pickering did may offended some but there is a higher purpose here.
Just as I have the right to say it, you have the right to be offended by it, and having been offended by it, you have a right to take peaceful steps to communicate that you have been offended You do not however have a right to interfer with my right to say it or the right to kill me because I have said it. Yet within one religious group there is a minority who believe otherwise, and it is this group that the offending cartoon was directed. That is this is who I am, so come and get me. And our right to call ourselves a free, open and democratic society will depend on how we respond.
For me it’s “I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it”. Hopefully I not alone.

Yes it's revolting but it's Pickering so that's to be expected. Luckily he has the police giving him high-priority protective surveillance.
Is he playing a board game?
