Just as long as there is enough room to stick your head between your legs, and kiss your fundament goodbye.

I'm not surprised. I was on one flight back from Brisbane to Melb. Forget what airline but jetstar I think. otherwise Tiger. Never in my life have I seen seats so close together. I had trouble even holding a book up to read. The seats could not be reclined at all. I would imagine as they would have hit the person behind.

One woman in the seats ahead of me had a panic attack & they had to move her.

Me, I don't suffer from claustrophobia but even I had a moment where I thought-don't know if I can do this for 3 hours.

As for the brace position, don't make me laugh. No way anyone of normal weight & height could have done that.

It's odd when you think of it as people's body sizes have been going up for decades yet plane seat space is getting smaller.

I have long legs and I recently got told off by the guy sitting in front of me on a Jetstar flight from Airlie Beach to Brisbane because my knees were sticking into the back of his seat. Smiley Mad

Now that is a bit Monty Python - what were you expected to do with your legs.

A bit come back you coward.

Jetstar - rent blankets - well, only if you need them.

My one & only experience was Indonesia - Sydney - there was white cold vapours coming from the ' air con'  - yep need a blanket.

Now always travel with a wrap for warmth.

Having travelled - on numerous occasions over the years - the best legroom - being in excess of 5'10 - is Virgin.

But - no tellys - you can use your own device - on Airplane mode to watch whatever you want.

That's it.

Let's not get into the food.

LOL.

My son in law is 6ft 8" and a solid build with it. After quite a few long haul flights in economy on their honeymoon, he had had enough of the whole flying business & I doubt he will ever go to Europe, just too uncomfortable, the US was hard enough.

I've heard business class etc is much better but not everyone can afford it.

Bring on faster planes.

Mind you, I read a while back that over in England/Europe there was talk by some plane companies of having some short flights without seats at all, just a sort of sling thing people stood up & rested on. How you assume a brace position in those I don't know. I presume the airline execs don't care.
