Hi all. It took me ages to get the courage to write this. I recently moved to Victoria, know no one, and am extremely lonely. I am a STRAIGHT married woman, but am at the stage where it is a marriage in name only. I am a young at heart 62 year old, look after myself, love a laugh (and a cry if needed LOL). I just adore my 3 little dogs, who are my best friends and the loves of my life. I love shopping, trash and treasure markets, my computer (which I'd be lost without LOL), cooking, music, etc.etc. I'd love to meet other women to have a coffee and "yak" with, go shopping with etc. etc. I am very down to earth and non judgemental...I have had tough times in my life and judge no one. Soooo...if there's anyone out there, I'd love to hear from you. Thank you for reading my ad, have a nice day and take care.

Gottabecareful. Are you an official eBay policeman or self appointed. Just curious.
I think you missed the point entirely.
Gottabe reports hijacked accounts and scammers that rip off buyers, not board members. I used to do it myself but after a while you get a bit burnt out.
Ebay have made it much harder now to explore a buyers or sellers history which is a shame.
Next time you want to be silly enough to buy a phone or a tv or LV bag or Gucci sunglasses or gps system or Chanel perfume or Tiffany jewellery from ebay you might want to ask gottabecareful about it.

Sounds to me like self appointed.
Now I know who probably reports some of my posts since I would fall into one of his categories !
Has to get others to fight his battles for him.
Which category do you fall into, just so we know?
I spend most of my time 'lurking' and reporting members who are obviously doing the wrong thing - as in buying and selling, hijacking accounts etc

Once upon a time there was a poster who had King Charles Cavaliers.
The moment I read the op, I thought about her.
Don't know what happened to her, but she was a very nice, caring and helpful person.

I remember her, Erica, she was lovely, and if it's the same person I'm thinking of, her OH did have problems.

If it is her I hope she comes back so we can give her some support. I know message boards are not the same as
flesh and blood people but I know I've had comfort here at times particularly when I've felt very low and it counts for a lot.

If it is her, ( I think she was Asian,) I would travel the three hours to Sheparton to spend some time with her. There is nothing worse than moving to a new town and feeling lonely.
It happened to me 44 years ago when I met and married my second husband. He had four children, I had five, and all the town were having bets that the marriage would not last. Main reason, he was Australian born and I was an emigrant with a foreign accent.
Well the marriage lasted 30 years until he passed through illness, but I never forget the loneliness of the first few years here. I had a good husband and nine children to care for, but no female friend to have a cuppa and a chat with. One can be lonely in a big crowd.

If she does come back on, can someone message me as I might miss it.
I'd travel up to Shep from Melbourne for the day. Anyone else from Melbourne who would also
like to do a day trip for the same reason, message me.
I am western suburbs of Melbourne.
I can ask my mate who, what, where etc best place to meet people in Shep.
