I have one on my back laundry door, it is useful as the children can walk in and out without leaving the door open, or slamming it. The position of it means the screen door would encroach on the patio area used for "bike riding" and presents a danger to small people, so it was a good option.

I looked at them in that Huge W store;-) $25 and thought I might try one myself. Might be useful for the dogs who want out when the door is closed but stay out if the door is open

They would be a good option b ut maybe just as easy to make a screen and put it on the inside? Hardware stores sell the bits and in our last home, I made the screens myself. Hacksaw, mitre box, channel, rubber, screen material and corners.
Youtube?

Yes, good idea, we have a doggy door but with door open, no need for him to use it.

yes, we have made screens before, but they are a bit harder for windows that open outwards.
In our family room we had the same windows that open out. We put the screen on the inside. But in order to be able to open the window, you have to be able to remove the screen. We made screen on a hinge that we could lift up and then reach in and open the window.
But, we dont want to go to so much trouble for the window in daughters room, because, like i said, she probably wont even open it much

My dad has ordered me some fly screens that attach to the inside of my windows (I have those stupid wind out windows) that attach to the wood with velcro. Not sure where he ordered them from, I can find out if you are interested.
