A fisherman has fought off a massive white pointer shark with a broom.
"Jesus, it is bloody big," says one man as the shark slows moves towards the boat.
"Get away!" the man then shouts as he pushed the red broom into the head of the approaching ocean monster.
Someone is heard saying "he nudged it" about the shark hitting the boat as the five-and-a-half metre giant swims on by.
When the shark comes back, with its mouth clearly open, the man shouts "don't bite it [the boat], **** off!"

Never fended a shark off with a broom.... however I have seen a few fly off on a broom
...... The seemingly innocuous "Witch Shark"....
Appearing upon first appearance, kind gentle, faithful and loving, they savage a bite that generally yields more than half the house, the boat, the weekender and that classic that only got driven on weekends..... in one swift chomp.
That's if the victim is lucky....
The attack can also come in smaller bites over an extended period of time that only really intensifies the agony but eventually renders the victim to the same realization, some think the prolonged attack even more sinister.
Leaving a wounded, bleeding, quivering mess still alive, but stripped of self esteem, assets and toys
.... Left to the bastion of a mates shed to lick their wounds swearing to never go fishing again unless it's somewhere where the shark nets are high and unyielding and the solace of blokeship reigns supreme.....
......such is life.....

Sharks need to be treated with respect. A big mistake some people make is they underestimate the intelligence of sharks. They can spot another (less skilled) shark posing as goody goody Dory from a mile away. Unfortunately, that is a sign of weakness and vulnerability. Also, they can spot vulnerable, silly humans who jump in the water where clearly they aren't good enough to swim, from even further away.
The golden rule - don't swim where there might be sharks. Yes, the wounds hurt I know - sob, sob. But hey, if the ocean is too dangerous, go swim in a kiddies pool.
