What a beautiful morning, it’s going to get very hot today so we decided on an early start. We got a taxi here thinking we’d be able to walk around and get some exercise but that wasn’t permitted outside the picnic area.
The Park is right in Gaborone it’s about 5km square and established in 1988 by the Kalahari Conversation Society to give the Gaborone public an opportunity to view Botswana’s wildlife in a natural and accessible location.
So our driver joined us and took us around. Botswana has a reputation for being very expensive to see the animals, like everything in life there’s always alternatives.
The entry fee per person is 10 pula and 10 for the vehicle 40 pula = $5.36 AU.
I’d read some not very glowing reviews on the Park and I’m so glad we went to see for ourselves.
