Looking at roof colour atm. Wondering if anyone here has a mid grey roof, eg Woodland Grey, Ironstone, Gully Basalt, Cove, Wallaby
as per the latest colour chart. Found that a couple of the greys have blue or green tones. Would prefer a true grey. Any advise would be appreciated.

I wanted a red roof but the council here would not let me have one so I went with a Charcoal Grey,

We are currently doing an extension. House was built in the 70's and currently have a cream brick which is no longer available and old brown concrete tiles. We are going to render the existing home and want to change to a colorbond roof. Have looked around and definately don't want to go a light colour and want to get away from a brown roof so there aren't too many other choices. Lionrose 7
what colour do you have on the exterior walls?

I live across the road from a grey colour bond roof and it looks really clean after about 10 years but the light coloured one up the road always looks dirty even after heavy rain. There is a new murky green roof nearby but it has only been on about 2 or 3 years and it looks nice and clean.
The grey roof across the road looked like a mirror for the first 12-18 months but had we not been in a bad drought the mirror effect would have been dulled down a lot faster.
The council had numerous complaints about the grey roof when it first went up and they couldn't believe what people were complaining about until they came out and saw it for themselves. Council took up the issue with the manufacturer and was told a few storms would remove the mirror effect.
I really like the grey for looking at across the road because it looks so clean without being cleaned.

I have grey concrete roof tiles on my roof.
But now, after thirty or so years of neglect, I now have a multi-coloured olive-green-sort-of-orangey look thanks to all the lichen etc which has taken hold of it. 🙂

I think it was Woodland Grey that went on my father's house last year - I will try and find a photo
Very happy with it - looks great.
If you are in Sydney, I can recommend the company that did the roof.
Also, get the metal whirly-birds the roofing company put in - not the cheapy ones
Have made a HUGE difference to my fathers house - no more stiffling heat - now very comfortable
ALso had the METAL mesh covering the gutters and valleys installed as near the bush - worth every cent in peace of mind

Tulip - Woodland Grey is a fairly safe colour. But you are right, there is a brown/green tinge. It can look quite brown on some houses. Which would be fine with your cream colours.
The only thing to remember is that darker colours heat up really quickly. So I think Ironstone is too dark for an Australian roof unless you have lots of overhanginf trees to keep the sun off.
If you want a true grey try Windspray. I call it schoolboy trouser grey.
