Looking at roof colour atm. Wondering if anyone here has a mid grey roof, eg Woodland Grey, Ironstone, Gully Basalt, Cove, Wallaby
as per the latest colour chart. Found that a couple of the greys have blue or green tones. Would prefer a true grey. Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks for the replies. i-need-a-martini we are looking at Sandbank for the
colour of the render and maybe Woodland Grey or Gully (which is a new colour and can't seem to find a house with this colour roof).
Driving around and checking out roof colours is confusing as it depends on which direction you are facing and the time of day. eg
saw a roof that looked like Jasper (brown) from the front and went in and asked and was told it was Woodland Grey. Then viewed it from the side and you could see the grey.
What aluminium wndow colour would you recommend, we have samples of surfmist, white birch and stone beige.

darker the roof colour hotter it will get. Lighter colours are better for that reason.

Not sure what Gully is. Haven't seen it yet.
Woodland Grey can be quite brown. But it does look smart particularly if you are doing a sand bank render (which is very creamy).
Or you could do sandbank render, stone beige roof and do woodland grey for windows, garage door and eaves?
What is the heatload going to be on your roof?

We are having a couple of whirly birds installed or some other system. What would you suggest i-need-a-martini?

Whirly birds are really, really good and cheap. I'd also get some quality insulation in there if you do a dark roof..
When I am at work tomorrow I will pull out the colorbond/render colours and get a couple of suggested options for you.

R3 batts and insulation blanket to the new addition. i-need-a-martini would it be ok if I emailed you a pic of the house and a pic
of the house with the extention.

Found this pic that looks nice. The roof colour is Shale Grey.

Sorry but isn't the plain metal grey, why use colorbond?

Hi Tulip.
Big apologies - I was going to get back to you with some colour schemes but work got too busy and I forgot.
Email me anytime. But I really like that combo with the light grey roof and white windows. Looks fresh.

Plain metal rusts. Color bond doesn't.
