The gossip is there are more resignations to come as Labor flails about trying to steady the ship & Gillard tries to soothe her party members for leaving them in the dark over many of her bad judgement calls & decisions.
Australian National University political expert Professor John Wanna said it ''beggars belief'' the Prime Minister would have known about the resignations and called the election first.
''They will be asking in caucus 'did you know all of these things were going to happen' and why she didn't get them to both stand down earlier,'' he told AAP
Labor would have picked up momentum if Ms Gillard first announced the cabinet reshuffle before calling an election, Prof Wanna said.

Hi waterlily, long time no see! I hope you are well. I think labor is using clever strategy by getting all the dramas over in the first few weeks. This will put mr rabbit on the back foot because he probably didn't expect such an early announcement so hasn't had time to really think how to approach things tactically. I reckon he expects to romp in at election time, but he'll be in for a rude shock. Even die hard liberals don't want that goon to lead our country 🙂
oh that's right, you are a lib 😄 If the Libs win, would you rather see mr rabbit or Malcolm Turnbull at the helm?
More importantly, do you remember the recipe for that NT mozzie repellant... it has baby oil, citronella and a few other ingredients. I can't remember it.

i expect some more at some stage, look at the statistics . a lot of people come and go with electoral cycles. these kind of 'stories' are akin to saying 'it may be warm in perth' or 'cats have hair '

Clever and Labor are mutually exclusive. 🙂
Kazzaa I will make it a point to highlight every other major upstuff over the next 7 months that the "CLEVER" Labor machine rolls out 🙂

Hi Karen,
I thought it was an interesting article seeing as none of us believe Gillard knew about the resignations a year out. I laughed at your "clever strategy" remark.
I keep up with the forums & there is so much sniping & sarcasm that I shake my head.
One can be of either party & still have a sensible debate rather than resorting to the childish.
I like your posts because you don't make it personal unless it's Miss ebay (lol) who deserves it IMO.
I never had the NT mozzie repellant recipe, I used baby oil for the sandflies & rid for the mozzies but nothing worked on the Cooinda mozzies :_|
You're probably right in that it will be a close one, McTernan has gone back to America to get pointers from Obama's team so it will be a dirty one I think. I don't like Turnbull, sorry.
