OMG = Shame Job = people are protesting, I am so embarrassed by these people. Why these people do this? Are they ignorant or what? Or are they really truly scared these Muslims (Who live here already) are all of a sudden gonna turn into terrorists cos they have a mosque? This is very weird.................. they pray now but at the Uni, there be a prayer room, whatever thats called, they want there own place.
So I ask these people - "What exactly is the problem here?" And I get stuff like "terrorists, go home to their own country (When they say this I lift an eyebrow and stare at em but they miss it ofcourse)
Im not Muslim, I dont even know a Muslim but I dont understand one bit why we protest against people wanting a church, this embarrasses me LOL

Bernardi has been publicly critical of Islam.[28][29] In 2010, he wrote an opinion piece calling for a ban on wearing the burqa in public.[30]
In 2011, Bernardi referred to the controversy over the paying of funeral expenses for asylum-seekers, declaring that it was "wrong" for the government to pay. He also said that "Islam itself is the problem - it's not Muslims", and that multiculturalism had failed. He subsequently clarified his remarks by stating "When I say I'm against Islam, I mean that the fundamentalist Islamic approach of changing laws and values does not have my support."[31]
For these comments he received death threats.[32] Liberal leader Tony Abbott distanced himself from the comments.[33]
Bernardi has been associated with Dutch politician Geert Wilders whose vocal concerns about Islam are shared by Bernardi, and met Wilders in Europe.[34] Bernardi offered to assist Wilders in a visit to Australia but, in February 2013 when Wilders did come, Bernardi did not meet him. Wilders stated in an interview that Bernardi's decision not to meet him was a "sad but true" reflection on politics, particularly in an election year.[35][36] The opposition treasury spokesman, Joe Hockey, said in response "Neither Cory Bernardi nor the Coalition will be facilitating this visit." [37]Opposition leader Tony Abbott also rejected suggestions that Senator Bernardi was trying to bring Mr Wilders to Australia, saying that the Coalition had nothing to do with the organisation of any trip.[38]
