A teenage girl has learnt a lesson she won’t forget after she asked her mother for a sick note to get out of a PE class.
The girl, known as Olivia, said it was ‘too cold’ to take part in the lesson and asked her mother, Sam, to vouch for her that she was sick.

I did a similar thing to my son a couple of years ago "Dear Mr ....., Alex was not at school yesterday because he couldn't find his tie which he was told to hang up the night before, and was afraid of copping a detention for uniform infringements. Do with him as you see fit.
Signed Alex's mum".
He copped a detention for lying, and still occassionally refers to me as "a cruel woman".

I'll bet you didn't take a photo of it Marina and put it on facebook.
Another attention seeking mum.

i don't think its hilarious at all, the mother is a downright cow for humiliating her daughter like that - all she needed to do was say no to writing a note.
i believe the only lesson her daughter learned is that her mother is untrustworthy and not on her side at all.
to post pics bragging about it and further embarrassing her daughter is just attention seeking.

No I didn't (and wouldn't). It was between me, my son and the teacher. She could have just refused - I have also done that for similar requests. To get a note out of my mother you had be projectile vomiting, have blood coming out of your ears, or have a broken bone actually protruding through your skin somewhere!

I dont understand the public shaming- write in a letter what you want, phone the teacher if thats what you want..but to humiliate and mock your own child publically is awful, and some kids will always remember that..
