I loved that movie when I was a kid.  It was scary though.  Bette Davis and Joan Crawford.  Didn't she serve up her sisters pet bird to her on a dinner plate?

Hi Joono, it really was/is a classic, isn't it, and on so many levels. Interestingly, the majority of the audience demographic were young teenagers who had never heard of Crawford or Davis. They were probably more interested in the gothic violence of it all as the film has been described as "The ugly stepdaughter of Sunset Boulevard and Psycho." Perhaps they also sensed the "has-been" factor too, which probably interested the older audience. The fact that in their glory years, Crawford and Davis had diametrically opposite trajectories in their careers (Crawford big star silent, early-mid 30's then David big star late 30's-early 40's then Crawford big star again mid 40's-late 40's) projected the feeling they were arch enemies, and the fact that Crawford joined Warner Brothers in the mid 40's and accepted Mildred Pierce, a film Davis turned down, a hit which won Crawford an Oscar and a string of BO hits just as Davis was sliding, probably contributed to their feud. Add to this that Davis was nominated for an Oscar for Baby Jane and Crawford wasn't yet Crawford was accepting for Anne Bankroft if she won, (which she did) added more fuel to the fire, particularly as Crawford pushed Davis aside on hearing Bankroft's name, smiled haughtily and said, "Excuse me, I have an Oscar to accept". I'm sure someone with Bette Davis' personality would have seen the humour in that.

Instead of a stamp I put

kisses.

I thought that guy on Grey's Anatomy tore all the Baby Jane Doll's heads off and swallowed them.

When he was asked why he swallowed 12 Baby Jane doll heads, he replied "because eleven would not have been enough."

I wonder if they were digestable or at least small otherwise the trip would have been excruciating 🙂

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Maybe they were more digestible than the rest of this OP's threads.
