My day

After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this before and after 002.JPG

My day

Why do things have to be so hard? I want to replace my freestanding oven, I want white and I want a glass lid, didnt think I was asking for the impossible. Most of the white ovens are ugly, then I found this  http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-World-NW601GTCFSTA-60cm-Gas-Upright-Cooker-NEW-/141294342606?pt=AU_Ov... which isnt quite as awful as the others and is pictured with a glass lid, but apparently the glass lid is only available with stainless steel Smiley Frustrated

I also want a new fridge and I hate my stainless steel fridge and was looking forward to changing to white, but if I have to get a stainless steel oven I may have to get another stainless fridge to match Smiley Frustrated

I hate it when I'm ready to buy and what I want is not available.

did you particularly want a gas stove?

I have a belling, my only complaint with it is it doesn't have a timer, but a quick search shows the current model does. Damn. Mine has a glass lid, but it is SS.  I thought the white ones had the lid too, but I can't find my model to check. (it's only 12 months old)

edit: found it, although I thought mine was 60 cm.

I'd prefer dual fuel, I really dont like electric hotplates, but this brand dont do dual fuel.

I did look at the Bellings but they dont seem to have white with glass lid either. Might go and have a look at their stainless steel ones again.

I chose the SS one because the cook top part is black, so it doesn't show up the mess as much. It's a bugger for fingerprints though.

I think one of the main things turning me off stainless is they are so dark looking. I guess most people are putting in dark colored or granite benchtops but my kitchen is all cream and timber.

Ilve have a lovely old fashioned looking oven that would be perfect if I had a spare $6000 Smiley Frustrated

Is yours 54cm or 60? I've got 60 now and I find the oven width is barely adequate. If the 54cm has a narrower oven a lot of my baking trays and dishes wont fit in it.

I think I have the 60, and yeah, only just enough room for a baking tray
