Thanks punch,  might be a good time to start planting, it's looking like a good season this year,  I am trying to be as self sufficent as I can, kinda like a mini version of "The Good Life" lol  The mulch should take care of the weeds lol

My day

Morning one and all ~~~~~

We have had the mildest weather, in fact Tuesday was cool enough for a light jacket and i'm not complaining I am not fond of the heat. They are telling us tomorrow and Saturday will be 34 and 29 deg so it's warming up, lots of sinus about and sneeze, sneeze sneeze. The neighbour in the house next door has every shrub/tree flower you can think of in her backyard and along the fence next to our place.

Cute doggie Bushy, and nice looking lettuce.

Just another spray on the exhaust fan cover this morning and it can go back up when it dries. I cleaned out the vanity yesterday, so it's empty and ready to go. I just hope Masters have our shower screen by tomorrow or early next week.

Have a good one.

Master's told us to ring tomorrow to check on the progress of the shower screen, the tiles should be ready tomorrow. I can't book the skip until we know the shower screen is on it's way, Mr Painter/Builder is available to start Monday if everything is ready to go.

Just checked the vent it doesn't need a second coat it looks great.

My day

Good morning everyone.

Nice dog and garden bushie.  Our vegies are going OK but not as good as yours.  I bought Frank a raised garden bed for his birthday as his back plays up a bit.  Our iceberg lettuces didn't heart then our son forgot the greenhouse when we were away so they're for the chooks now.  Frank has planted 3 trays of mixed lettuce where you just pick the outside leaves and they keep growing.

Good the painting turned out well freddie.  You can buy something else for what you would have bought a new one for.  Maybe a new set of towelling for your new bathroom Smiley Very Happy.

Shopping day today - I walk into town while Frank plays table tennis this morning then he meets me.  Have quite a few Christmas laybys I need to make payments on.

Twinkles, no day is really busy for me but I do keep myself active as I believe at my age, you seize up if you don't keep moving.  I have a wedding cake to ice.  I made the cakes before our holiday and now have to ice them.  She wants hessian on them sp I have bought some hessian roses - different than I have ever done and not really my choice..  It's a very rustic wedding on their family farm under the gum trees (seats are haybales with covers on them), then they have hired a marquee for the spit reception.  Their dog is the ring bearer and all their friends dogs have been invited Smiley Embarassed.  They have a yard to put them in until the reception is over - they are together a lot so they know they all get on - mainly labradors.  (Bit like Az's dog playing date Smiley LOL)

Have a good one everyone ..... best move.

Nup, still deciding and haven't gone near the big green shed for it to "jump" into the trolley as happens with product from that venue.

But I did find a use for 2 of the "fans" from the palm leaves, I had transplanted some native violets (ground cover purpose) to a section of the surrounds of the new pond area and they were getting a copping from the hot sun.  So I draped the fans over them till they settle in and I have to place the garden bench over them when help is at hand.

Still have to design a cover for the pond, too. I had filled the pond with water for it to settle but due to grass and dirt and palm seeds dropping in whilst working around it, I've delayed transferring the fish.   In the meantime, the fishies are in their old pond and I'm soaking potted plants by letting them sit for a couple of hours in this grotty water.  A couple of birds have discovered the new swimming hole for their bathing.  I'll have to deter them.

Back soon (still adjusting my writers cap and trying to solve again how to post a picture onto a thread.  Got the best idea for a heated discussion but I need a particular piccie to make it in-your-face-memorable and receive a motza of kudosSmiley LOLSmiley LOLSmiley Frustrated)

Good morning Sandy

The coming wedding you have described sounds gorgeous ๐Ÿ™‚ I admire anyone who has the talent to ice cakes wedding, birthday etc The one you have described sounds lovely and chance of a pic when it is finished?

I looked at raised garden beds as weeding is difficult for me. Might be an option in the future but atm what we have built will have to do. One of my friends has two large old water tanks that have been cut down to make raised veggie beds, they look great and hold heaps of plants.

I have also planted some mixed lettuce, they havent been planted for long so am hoping the will take off soon. I dont have chooks, but most people around me do, that that where most of my veggie scraps go

Freddie It all sound like it's coming together nicely, cant wait to see the "after" pics ๐Ÿ™‚ So pleased you fan turned out so well ๐Ÿ™‚
